Race Is An Illusion
Today we have a guest blogger. His name is Anthony Michael Garcia. It’s as if I said it though because he captures my belief on this issue.
Without further adieu:
Race is an illusion. Period. It pains me to see #Christian brothers so wrapped up in their “Race” that they entertain ignorant and hateful, spiritually bankrupt theology. The construct of #race is pretty silly when you pan out to view the history of mankind from an eagle’s eye view. After all, we all came from one set of parents (Adam & Eve) and later we can all trace our ancestry back to Noah and his sons Ham, Shem, and Japeth. These three brothers are the intersection where most of our “Racial” constructs come from. These lineages made up what we now identify as “Different” people groups. HELLO!!! THEY WERE BROTHERS! That fact means we are all family! Now I know what certain types (Hebrew Israelites) might say… “Yeah, but God’s chosen people are Abrahams descendants!”
Well..Mathew 3:9 says “Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.” Jesus said that! Are you going to argue with him? Not if you truly follow Christ. Not to mention Paul’s elaboration on this concept (Romans 2:28-29)when he says, “For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God’s Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.” We can be so quick to return to a worldly understanding of things when our perception becomes skewed and our ability to hear from The Lord fades.
Physically, we are all made from dirt. That’s about all we need to think on that matter. It’s the spiritual Truth that Christ brought that gives us power OVER the physical and allows us to become SPIRITUAL children of the Most High. Now cultures and tribes are another thing altogether, as those all hold unique perspectives on spiritual matters. These groups can paint a vibrant and beautiful picture of diversity in many shades of color, different flavors, and imagery. They are like a vast array of multiple sounds created by individual instruments that may seem to be in stark contrast to each other. In unison they create the most beautiful symphony filled with divine harmony. This harmony creates waves of peaceful Truth echoing throughout eternity, magnifying the Glory of a God with endless creative powers!
We are given a snapshot of this in the Bible! A vivid picture of this eternal understanding is provided as all of Creation gathers around the throne of God. Revelation chapter 7 verses 9 thru 12 says, “After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” And all the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. They sang, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Wow!!!
What an amazing joy and perfect peace it brings to know that one day all of our beautiful differences will join in a great chorus of praise to God Almighty. Singing praise together in unison before the Great I Am..the Ancient of Days. He made all the colors of culture to reflect a greater Truth in His character. God is vastly diverse and altogether different. He is inexhaustible! You could learn for an eternity about all the different qualities of His character and never fully grasp how great He is!
We are one race. The human race..though we have many cultures, they are all holding a unique perspective reflecting one Great Truth! “Racial” emphasis is a devise of the enemy to bring conflict and disunity between brethren. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRAP! Let us celebrate our differences, but join in an unbreakable brotherhood, bonded together as we are bound to the Most High! Grace, Peace and Love to you all. God bless you!
