-How Christianity went directly against the flow of human history and acted as a force for the advancement of rights for women, especially in cruel cultures and societies that openly encouraged the economic exploitation, political suppression, and even physical abuse of women.
-How to answer tough questions about the Christian faith using proofs, and how to ask unbelievers about their beliefs, without doing so in a way that offends those who want to discuss Christianity and their own personal beliefs. The author uses history and his own personal experiences to demonstrate how turns in life can seem like final defeats, yet in reality can become great victories. For the Christian, this even includes the moment when we take our last breath, or lose loved ones to death. While respectful of learning and formal education, Dave’s book successfully demonstrates that the hard earned wisdom that comes through life experiences, can rarely be gained from formal learning by itself. Dave makes all these points in a winsome and entertaining way that grasps the reader’s attention and holds it too the last page. Simply put, it’s a great book!

My favorite experience reading this book is that it’s like Dave is talking to me… the pages come alive! You see, he’s my husband, so these stories are my life, too. I appreciate his honesty and his authentic love for our Lord…! “Random Thoughts” will definitely get you to thinking about how much God loves you – just as you are!
