The Christian Solutions for Transgenderism:
Knowing that transgenderism is a rejection of God’s created order, what solutions would we, as Christians, offer to a person with gender dysphoria? There are two solutions:
- 1) Submit these desires/feelings/temptations to the Lord Jesus and asked to be healed. There are many stories of people who have struggled with transgenderism, homosexuality, drugs, alcoholism, etc. who have been healed by a touch of the Master’s hand. Whether it’s a supernatural, instantaneous healing or one that takes time (maybe with the help of a pastor or a trained Christian counselor), there is healing available. See all of the website references below.
- 2) If you are not healed by the above methods and these desires/feelings/temptations persist, then you have a choice to make. You must deny your feelings and walk in obedience to Christ. These scriptures will help…Jeremiah 17:9, Proverbs 14:12-13 & 28:26, Isaiah 41:10 and Galatians 5:19-21.
Denying to act on “natural” desires in nothing new to Christianity or Christians. Some natural desires can be sinful. I don’t know of a Christian alive who hasn’t been tempted to commit some sort of sin. For example, if you’re a single Christian, you are called to be celibate for as long as you are single. This may be for an entire lifetime. Read James 1:12, 1st Corinthians 10:13, 2nd Peter 2:9, Matthew 6:13 & 26:41, Ephesians 6:12 and Romans 7:18-20.
Anything we give up in this life will be worth the rewards that await us in the next life.
