Setting Forth Positive Reasons for Christianity. What is Apologetics?

Once you decide on a class subject that you want to pursue, click on the link for that class title. Here you will get a brief summary of the class content, and you will see what comes in the class package: a set of teacher notes, student notes (with fill-in-the-blank sections), a PowerPoint presentation, a set of my teaching videos, etc. All of my teaching videos are recorded 1-1.5 hours at a time; this is how much I cover in one night, when I am doing the classes weekly for a group of people. There are usually 4-8 hours of video per class, so the number of weeks varies from 2-6. The PowerPoint file is also divided into weekly segments that correspond to the teacher notes and my weekly video files. To use PowerPoint, you must have the Microsoft PowerPoint program. If you have Microsoft Office, PowerPoint is included.

My teaching videos are the backbone of each class. If you will be teaching this class to a group, you can either view the video as a group, or use the teaching notes and the PowerPoint presentation. Either way, please use the video to familiarize yourself with the points that will be covered each week. If your group is going to view the video, you can cue the PowerPoint screens to follow along with the video – on another screen, of course.

The teacher notes / handouts and student notes are extensive and include information that I don’t cover in detail on my videos. There are cases where the notes, for example, list all of the “parallelisms” of poetry (in ‘How to Read the Bible’) but I only briefly mention these in the video, as going into all of them isn’t necessary – because you have all the notes and handouts…

It is also very possible for this to be an individual study, just by viewing my videos on your favorite hand-held device, and following along with your student notes and handouts. We all have unique ways of learning; my intention was to create a package of materials that could be used in a variety of different settings such as personal study, or with a small (or large) group of people…
